This radio program brings to you beautiful music from all around the world including Ainu music, and their untold stories. We will discuss in depth about the background of the music, local traditions, traditional performing arts, and surrounding culture. Let’s open up a world map of music, and have fun listening to the depth of world music and the interesting diversity of the world from this radio program, which will be broadcasted from Shiraoi to the world.

We will welcome Professor Junko Iguchi from Osaka College of Music as our second guest, who researches music and performing arts through fieldwork mainly in rural China, Shanghai, and Okinawa. We will also welcome Peter Barakan, who hosts a number of popular radio and TV programs as a freelance broadcaster with a special interest in roots-based music from around the world.
