OKI's third album in 2002, featured not only his tonkori, but also Upopo (chanting) and Ukouk(a round), performed by female vocalists. In addition, there are tracks that were created in collaboration with the East Timor poet, Abe Barreto Soares and the Siberian vocalist, Olga Letykai Csonka. This unique album incorporates traditional Ainu music with the sounds of Brazil, Africa, Reggae and Electronica. The result is an album that succeeds in creating a contemporary sound, which remains faithful to the legacy of the Ainu. Without a doubt, this is one of the most exciting fusions of Far Eastern musical styles available.
